The Grand Feature Film Orchestra proudly presents Buster Keaton’s silent film classic STEAMBOAT BILL JUNIOR (1928) in a 4K big-screen restoration premiere with a LIVE musical score COMPOSED by Evan Losoya!
Keaton plays William Canfield Jr., a young college student who meets his father, whom he hasn’t seen in many years. Bill Sr., a hardened riverboat captain, is not too thrilled to see his cityfied son, not realizing that he may be needed to save his steamboat from the clutches of his rich and powerful evil nemesis.
Known for his death-defying stunts and deadpan comic presence, Buster Keaton will seemingly defy the laws of physics throughout this adventure. The famous fight against a strong wind and life-threatening scenes involving collapsed buildings will surely amaze audiences, young and old!
The score will be performed by The Grand Feature Film Orchestra and composed by the GAC chairman and resident composer, Evan Losoya.
Tickets are available for the live in-person show at the amazing Journey Downtown Theater, or if you can’t make it in person, you can also purchase a live-streaming ticket.
