Edmond O'Brien and Frank Lovejoy play two old friends heading on a road trip when they pick up a hitch-hiker on the side of the road. Little do they realize he's a serial killer! William Talman brings a superb performance as the villain in this classic crime drama.
The Hitch-Hiker, is a brilliant example of film noir. This crime drama boasts shadowy, tense, almost claustrophobic cinematography where you can see every bead of sweat in the closeups. The three main characters are a portrait of chilling desperation – played with astounding energy by the experienced cast. The open desert scenes are as confining as the interior of their car. It's easy to get fully invested in the struggle to get free!
